Starting this assignment probably took the most time compared to any other. This is mostly due to me not being able to think about who to write to or what kind of genre to use. I ended up thinking about the head of the Literature department in my high school and I chose to write a letter. This was mostly because I thought it would be easy to write a persuasive letter than a different genre. I then had to choose a construct, which was easier in my opinion, since I had problems with writing catchy introductions in my essays plenty of times before.
Some difficulty I had writing this letter was being persuasive without seeming like I'm only trying to get her to do what I want for no actual reason. Placing reasoning as to why it was problematic to force students to write this was a challenge, but I managed to do it without much problem by just remembering what it was about them that bothered me in the first place.
While my peer reviews gave quite some conflicting feedback, they led me to believe that my work was not badly done. Therefore, I just quickly reviewed it and added a few examples of how content is necessary throughout the whole paper. This seemed to be the only necessary editing that would have to be done to my construct essay.
For this essay, it was necessary to know how to persuade someone without being too blunt about it. I also found it necessary to know how different constructs can affect your creativity and writing skills. Specifically, I had to explain how this construct would inhibit a person's work from reflecting their main point instead of just being filled with seemingly unimportant facts to catch the reader's attention.
